Now I know this time of year (all the way back to September), the markets become flooded with "Holiday" flavors. More specifically, pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin and apple cider flavored everything, from cookies and cakes to my beloved coffee.
When it comes to flavored items (foods and drinks), I am generally open-minded (at least once). I will try it and if I don't like it I may try it again in a few years. (This is a trend my hubs hasn't quite understood about me. Tough.) Though I would like to comment on a few of the Limited Holiday Flavors. 1. Berres Brothers Coffee (Watertown, WI) I have tried many of Berres Brothers Coffees over the years. Most likely because they make these little (quite affordable) 1.5 oz "One Pot" bags. They are just big enough for 1 - 12 cup pot of coffee (or if you are like me and have a k-cup maker you get about 9 cups) to sample the flavor before committing to a 12 oz bag (JIC, the flavor is not good). This year they are offering (* = the flavors I have tried, so far): Butterscotch Candy Corn* Cranberry Cream* Spiced Apple Packer Perc* Pumpkin Caramel* Pumpkin Pie Now mind you this is just their seasonal listing (off their website) this is definitely not an exhaustive listing of their current flavorings. Not by any means. They actually offer a few flavors all year round (that I can find in the stores) which are fabulous (Highlander Grogg and Southern Pecan, to name a few). However, if you are a coffee nut like me they are definitely worth the try. 2. Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats Here is a link to an article I found reporting about the newest Pumpkin Pie-flavored treats Courtesy of my son, I have tried these. My opinion is simple, if you're going to have something Pumpkin Pie flavored you should be able to taste the pumpkin more. The pie spice is right on; nice and warm tasting, but the pumpkin is so mild it gets lost. Would I try them again...as long as I don't have to spend my money on them. 3. Dunkin Donuts DD actually started their Fall campaign of flavors on August 28 nationwide. They have a few good offerings. I have tried their pumpkin macchiato and the maple pecan coffee. Both were good, but better hot versus iced. Even if you don't like coffee DD has some nifty designs for their donuts this month and some neat ideas for their food and donuts. BTW, the pumpkin munchkins are mega-nummy. 4. Cold Stone Creamery If ice cream is your thing and you don't mind spending for good stuff with lots of options (and I do mean LOTS of options), this wonderful company whose corporate office in is Arizona This year they have offered up 2 new flavors for this beauteous season...Pumpkin Cheesecake and Creme Brulee. Check out their press release, they give you an interesting concoction for their ice cream. They also tell you in their release, these flavors are only available until November 23, 2017. So, if you want them better get there quick. Now, there is no way in the world I could list all the specials currently running for this season, but here a few of my favorites to start with. I would love to here what your favorite Autumn flavors are (even if you think they're weird, told you I'd be about willing to try anything). Have a Happy Saturday everyone!!

AuthorI have spent quite a few years writing short stories that never quite fit into the 'normal' genre. When I came across the different erotica genres I was overjoyed. I had found my writing family. I hope that everyone enjoys what I've written. Please feel free to send me a comment/suggestion good/bad/indifferent. I appreciate all feedback! Bright Blessings!
